DIY | In 3 stappen een voorjaarsboeket

13 maart 2020

It is still officially winter, but I cannot wait for spring any langer. That’s why I already brought spring into our home with this colorful DIY.

IMy favorite seasons are really spring and summer. But I also like it when it freezes and the weather is crystal clear! Unfortunately we didn’t have this this year. Man, what a rain lately! I’m so fed up and so ready for spring … who isn’t? But spring doesn’t want to arrive outside, we just bring the spring feeling into the house, right? You can do this very easily with flowers. Well, what are we going to do? Today we make a spring bouquet for the table. I like easy DIYs that are affordable, easy and quick to make. You can make this DIY in only 3 steps, but there is one with a great effect!

What do you need?

  • Large vase
  • Pruning shears
  • 20 tulips
  • Bunch of cherry blossom branches

Step 1: Time for flowers.
I bought a bunch of cherry blossom branches and a mix of different colors of tulips. Of course you can also opt for magnolia branches, other colors of tulips or even other spring flowers such as daffodils or hyacinths. Cut the branches and flowers diagonally. Finally, get your biggest vase.

Step 2: cherry blossom in the middle!
Place the branches with cherry blossom in the middle of the vase. It isn’t necessary to cut the branches at different lengths, to get that playful effect. Often the branches are already of a different length, so this happens organically!

Step 3: Finish the bouquet with the tulips!
If you followed the steps, you already cut off the tulips. Then it’s time to put the tulips in the vase. In step 2 I already indicated, we keep the cherry blossom branches in the middle. Around it – so at the edges – you put the tulips. If you use, like me, different colours of tulips, then vary with the colours. Are you satisfied with the ensemble? Fill the vase with water, and that’s it!!!!

And? What do you think about it? A real eyecatcher, right?
